started

For a lot of people, the first time they make up their mind to
get started with a Web site, they may be thinking of a number
of things that are important to them. They have a business
they want to be found online, they want to sell their products
or services and use their Web site to communicate their offers
to online consumers.
While many people have come to the reality of realizing that
they need an effective Web presence but it seems that a lot
there are always challenges for others just to "get
started." The smarter ones study and build their skills
first, which shortens the time it takes to become successful.
But one of the
questions I get asked by our Workshop students all the time
is"
"Where is the best
place for me to start using my SEO and SEM skills to get
started making money?"
The answer may differ in some
instances, but we usually encourage the new student to roll up
their sleeves and get started with either their own Web site
or else consider exercising their new SEO skills by selling
other peoples products through affiliate marketing.
This allows the student to
experience rapid learning and to put all their knowledge to
work without any conflict or pressures of dealing with
clients. At the same time, our students can build their SEO
comfort level and make some passive cash flow too. While our
Workshop students have the benefit of hands-on SEO skills
training and a 6 month mentoring program for ongoing support
but there is a tuition fee associated with this caliber of
Workshop.
There is something about the phrase "getting
started" that new people struggle with.
Probably the most important
initial first step that impacts your business is to 1) Get
started and 2) Actually see genuine results and make some
money.

Squidoo is one of the
EASIEST ways to get yourself started on the Web is with this
system which is 100% focused on user generated content. It is
a free service and a quick look at Alexa tells us it is about
the 704th busiest Web site on the Internet (based on Alexa
data.)
Regardless of your experience,
Squidoo allows you to build a lens, all by yourself with no
need for programming skills and in less than five
minutes.
Don't build your lens instead of a website.
But build a lens to help your website along with additional
visibility and exposure.
Create as many pages as you want. After all it's free and a
great place to start.
