Any time now, you can expect to
see a significant rise in people competing for keyword terms
like SEO certification.

training - What are the most important aspects?
One important aspect is to ask
if there is any long term relationship between the training
company and some recognized educational authority. For
example, anyone can say they are going to teach you the most
up-to-date SEO skills and simply hang out their SEO training
Web page, but here are a few things to think about:
- Check out the length of
history that the SEO certification training has been
successfully running. Is it long term or only brand new?
- Which educational authority
or university backs up their SEO certification or does the
university offer the option of earning university CEUs
(Continuing Education Units) for completing the training?
The reason it's good to have training that has been
recognized and approved by the US educational system is
that it means that everything taught from the latest
course material right down to examinations are very well
scrutinized and reviewed before approval.
- Are you looking merely for a
slip of paper that says you have been certified - or are
you after the genuine skill set?
There are some places that offer you a certificate of
completion for under $100 - but will that equip you with
all of the latest advanced information to actually get
results for your Web site or your client Web sites?
- Have a look at some of the
the student graduate comments or remarks about what the
workshop experience was like or about how successful the
student graduate was after completion. A successful
training organization that leads the way in training
usually has return students every 1 to 2 years because SEO
is something that continually evolves. Watch for success
stories and get a feel for whether other graduates
have been successful.
- Remember to watch for little
tricks that are dead giveaways that the SEO training
company may not be as up to date on the industry itself,
let alone teach you the best skills.
For example, is the training company recommending search
engine submission software?
Do they speak of measuring success based on a traditional
Top 10 ranking on a linear scale?
Do they teach genuine SEO skills that equip you with
understanding or do they boast about "sneaky
tricks" or sneaky linking strategies?"
Since 2008, trying to measure success by watching your
traditional rankings no longer works. You should be
learning new strategies for ranking at the top, for your
most correct buying audience and for the maximum
percentage of the time.
